North American Regional Rounds

Each year, universities in North America are invited to participate in the IASLA Space Law Moot Court Competition.

The 2012 North American Regional Rounds will be held from Wednesday, 28 March 2012 to Saturday, 31 March 2012 in New York, United States. Teams of 2 to 4 students compete in 4 preliminary rounds in a round-robin format before advancing to the quarter-finals, semi-finals and the Regional Final. The Regional Champions advance to the International Finals, provisionally scheduled for Thursday, 5 July 2012 in Hong Kong.

In order to participate, all you need is 2 to 4 students that want to expand their knowledge in space law and gain valuable experience in international mooting. While knowledge of space law may be an asset, we have found that teams without prior training and experience in space law or even lacking in coaches have been very competitive in space law moot court competitions.
