ABOUT THE WORLD FINALS

In October each year, the winners of each Regional Round gather at the International Astronautical Congress and the Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space, organised by the International Institute of Space Law, for the world finals of the Lachs Moot.

With the exception of 1993, the world final has been judged each year by three sitting members of the International Court of Justice.

The following prizes are awarded at the world finals each year:

Manfred Lachs Trophy:
Awarded to the winning team in the world final.

Eilene M. Galloway Award:
Awarded to the team with the best combined score for their memorials.

Sterns and Tennen Award:
Awarded to the best individual oralist in the world final.
