The 2008 world finals of the Lachs Moot will be held during the 59th International Astronautical Congress and the I.I.S.L. Colloquium on the Law of Outer Space from 29 September to 3 October 2008 at the Scottish Exhibitiona nd Conference Centre in Glasgow, United Kingdom.

The world semi-final will be held on Tuesday 30 September with the world final, judged by three sitting members of the International Court of Justice,  to be held on Thursday 2 October, followed by the annual dinner of the International Institute of Space Law.

Participants of the Lachs Moot are encouraged to attend the International Astronautical Congress, especially as there are several policy and law sessions each year that may be of interest. Further, students are entitled to a substantially discounted registration fee for the Congress.
