Registration for the 2008 Asia Pacific Regional Rounds is now closed.
In order to participate in the Lachs Moot, all you need is 2 to 3 law students that are interested in expanding their knowledge in space law and gain valuable international mooting experience. In addition, past participants have generally suggested that the Lachs Moot is an experience that is both rewarding and enjoyable.
While prerequisite knowledge of spae law is an asset, we have found in the past that teams without prior training in space law or even lacking in coaches have nevertheless been very competitive in the Lachs Moot. In order to assist the teams in their preparations, we have provided some resources that we hope may be of assistance to you.
In 2008, the registration fee is A$700.00. For teams from some developing countries and teams with exceptional funding difficulties, the registration fee may be reduced. Please contact the Regional Organiser if you would like to be considered for a fee reduction. Teams are further required to attend the Award Dinner at A$100.00 per person, which must be paid at the time of registration.
For teams from India, you may wish to consider participating in the domestic funding rounds as a potential source of funding for your attendance in the Asia Pacific Regional Rounds. Please visit the specific page for India for further information. Additional contact information are available for universities in China and Japan.
