2002 Asia Pacific Regional Winner   

 

THE 2002 ASIA PACIFIC REGIONAL ROUNDS

The 2002 Asia Pacific Regional Rounds were the largest regional competition to date, with 11 teams from Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore and Thailand. They were held from 3-6 April 2002 in Sydney.

The preliminary rounds were held at the offices of Hunt & Hunt and Corrs Chambers Westgarth. The semi-finals and the final were held at the Supreme Court of New South Wales. In the semi-finals, the National University of Singapore and the University of New South Wales both narrowly defeated the University of Queensland and Monash University.

The 2002 regional final was held in the Banco Court of the Supreme Court of New South Wales. The University of New South Wales emerged as the regional winner. They were defeated by Georgetown University in the world finals held in Houston, the United States, in October that year.
