2001 Asia Pacific Regional Winner   

 

THE 2001 ASIA PACIFIC REGIONAL ROUNDS

Held in conjunction with the I.I.S.L. Space Law Conference, the 2001 Asia Pacific Regional Rounds were held from 9-11 March 2001 in Singapore, hosted by the National University of Singapore.

The preliminary rounds were held at the Faculty of Law, National University of Singapore, with 7 teams from Australia, India, Japan, New Zealand and Thailand competed for the right to go to the world finals.

The semi-finals were judged by members of the I.I.S.L., in which the National University of Singapore and the University of Waikato (New Zealand) defeated the University of Western Sydney (Australia) and the Australian National University, respectively.

The 2001 regional final was held in the Supreme Court of Singapore, with the National University of Singapore emerged as the eventual winner. The Singaporean team then went on to capture the Manfred Lachs Trophy in Toulouse, France, later that year.
